Our History

Our stunning Grade II listed building, constructed by the German Gymnastics Society in 1865, once hosted London’s first indoor Olympic Games in 1866 and again in 1908. Re-designed by Conran and Partners, German Gymnasium reopened in 2015 as a Grand Café, restaurant and bar.

Today, you can sip and dine where spectators once watched athletes, with original features still visible above.
